Who is Anodyne Therapy for?
1) Diabetic and Peripheral Neuropathy 2) Wound Care 3) Physiotherapy Injuries.
Anodyne Therapy can improve Peripheral Neuropathy both diabetic and non diabetic.
Neuropathic pain is chronic pain caused by injury or trauma of the nervous system and is recognized as difficult to treat. The usual painkillers have little effect. Stronger Opiates, given in increasing doses and with many side effects, can’t completely control the pain. In diabetic patients specifically, this pain and loss of sensation is caused by lac of blood flow to the peripheral nerves.
By increasing local circulation, (via the local release of nitric oxide) Anodyne Therapy treatments address the underlying cause of many types of neuropathic pain - poor circulation. In addition, according to published clinical data on the Anodyne Therapy System, 51% of patients were actually able to reduce or eliminate their use of pain medications!
The Nobel Prize was awarded in 1998 to three American scientists for the identification of the biological functions of nitric oxide and their benefits for health such as: Vasodilationr, neurotransmitter, mediator of morphine and precursor of angiogenesis (growth of new blood vessels). By increasing microcirculation it improves the nutrition of tissues and nerves that were ischemic and enhances the beneficial effects of antibiotics and analgesics. The pain diminishes or disappears while the anabolic power of NO treats the affected tissues. Scientific studies have proven that the improvement of vascularisation, empowers the growth of new nerves at a rate of 2mm per day.
